yes, we had a party! i'm usually not a fan of 1 yr. old bashes. i think nothing can beat kai's 1st birthday celebration..... playing on the hawaiian beach at dusk with a quiet picnic with some close friends. but we had a bash for zaiah. a combo party with our 1 yr old neighbor friend, cooper. cupcakes were eaten, kids were laughing, balloons were floating (and popping), pizza was consumed, presents were opened (mostly by a 3 yr old).
overall, zaiah seems very happy to be here with us. i think she'll be happier once she's a pro walker. she's eager. taking more steps every day before collapsing to the floor. i look forward to this 2nd year.(this dress she is wearing was grandma carol's as a baby)
