one more beach photo

i had to share this one:

every time we were on the beach and andy was carrying zaiah she would grunt and throw her arms up and lean back. meaning i want to swing upside down, more more please! and walk at the same time daddy.

we're back

we're getting back into the groove after being gone for a week. not much to share other than we all had a blast. even zaiah, regardless of getting new teeth while we were gone. the week was full of shell collecting (kai's knows all the names of shells), pool time, walks on the beach, chasing on the beach, shuffle board and a beach wedding: beautiful!

to the beach

we're off to florida for andy's cousin's wedding tomorrow. so i won't be here for a while.

nashville

aunt lizzie was in nashville, tn this past weekend for a conference. so we drove down for the day and hung out at the opryland hotel. i only took a couple photos, so here they are ....

kids can stay entertained in this hotel for hours. there's flora everywhere, even a river with a boat!

a first birthday

yes, we had a party! i'm usually not a fan of 1 yr. old bashes. i think nothing can beat kai's 1st birthday celebration..... playing on the hawaiian beach at dusk with a quiet picnic with some close friends. but we had a bash for zaiah. a combo party with our 1 yr old neighbor friend, cooper. cupcakes were eaten, kids were laughing, balloons were floating (and popping), pizza was consumed, presents were opened (mostly by a 3 yr old).

overall, zaiah seems very happy to be here with us. i think she'll be happier once she's a pro walker. she's eager. taking more steps every day before collapsing to the floor. i look forward to this 2nd year.
